Elena West, CEO

Elena brings more than 35 years of sales, marketing, and product development experience to her role as CEO of The Ohio Art Company and Allstate Can. Before joining Ohio Art in 2015, Elena held the position of senior vice president of marketing at Robert Half International. She is an active Board Member of multiple not-for-profit organizations including the United Way, Bryan Community Hospitals and the metal decorating and packaging industry’s premier association, the IMDPA. Elena graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and has completed executive education courses at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.

Martin Killgallon, III, President

As president of The Ohio Art Company and Allstate Can, Martin helps lead the company’s strategic vision in order to develop new product features and business segments. Martin holds a B.B.A degree in marketing from the University of Georgia and an MBA from Auburn University. Before joining Ohio Art, he held several marketing positions, including account manager at the advertising agency Lou Beres & Associates

Thonda James, CFO

Thonda joined Ohio Art in 2014 as the Controller and she leads our Finance, IT and Human Resource teams. She has over 25 years of experience, including 13 years in public accounting specializing in assurance and consulting services for small to medium size companies.

As CFO, she is responsible for financial strategies, governance and risk management. Thonda holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Accounting from Bowling Green State University and is a certified public accountant. She has volunteered with several nonprofit organizations and served on their boards and finance committees. She also is an active leader in the 4-H community.

Dave D’Agostino, Director of Sales

Dave D’Agostino is the Director of Sales for Allstate Can, a division of The Ohio Art Company. Dave joined Allstate in 2006 as the Custom Sales Manager. With 25 years’ experience in the packaging industry, Dave has a proven track record developing creative solutions for his customers and building long lasting relationships as a result. Prior to joining Allstate, he began his professional career with U.S. Can Corporation as the sales rep for the custom division focusing mostly on custom projects including ones with the U.S. military. Dave resides in Amber, PA with his wife Eileen. His daughter Jessica is a senior scientist with Bristol Meyers Squibb. In addition to playing golf and traveling, Dave enjoys spending time with his family.

Samuel Williams, General Manager, West Coast Operations

Sam Williams, Jr. brings a diverse and finely tuned skill set to his role as GM of Allstate Can – West. With 30 years of leadership experience, Sam has excelled in senior roles with public companies, like PepsiCo and Performance Food Group, and in entrepreneurial positions with privately held firms. He holds a BA from NC State University and an MBA from Loyola University - Maryland. Outside of work, Sam is passionate about environmental causes and enjoys hiking, music, tennis, yoga, and spending time with his four adult children. Sam volunteers his time (and vinyl collection) as host of “The Wax Museum” on KWNK community radio in Reno.

Mike Papera, Sr. Director of Procurement

Mike joined his family business in 1975 after graduating from Husson University with a B.S. in Finance.  With almost 50 years in the can making business, his experience and expertise are priceless.  Today, Mike oversees pricing, quoting and purchasing of lithography and steel.   Over the years, he has also overseen administration, finance and IT.  Mike has been happily married for 46 years, has two children and two grandchildren, with his third on its way.

Jim Phillips, Business Operations Executive

Beginning his tenure at Ohio Art over 30 years ago, Jim has had a well–rounded career at Ohio Art. Originally starting in the Machinist Shop, he took over as the Preventive Maintenance and Projects Coordinator. Jim assisted with the initial ISO 9001-1994 Certification by creating, and implementing the machine maintenance DM/PM program as well as ensuring OSHA and EPA compliance for the company.

Previously serving in manufacturing operations as the Corporate Quality Manager, he implemented the current Quality Management System. Jim also served as the Director of Manufacturing and Quality Systems Operations, overseeing and steering the re-birth of the metal manufacturing division.

Today, the business leverages his experience to support the company’s growth initiatives. His expertise in operations, quality control and manufacturing along with his background in EPA regulations, OSHA compliance, ISO 9001 requirements, and process control, ensures his success in identifying, analyzing and guiding new business opportunities for the company.

Jim has completed the Manufacturing Executive Program at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. Jim served our country as a highly decorated Marine for 7 years.
