Description
Allstate Can, a division of The Ohio Art Company, is hiring Maintenance & Set up Mechanics for the 1st Shift. This position consists of four work days, M-Th (6am-4:30pm ) with overtime potential on Fridays. The Maintenance & Set Up Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of machinery used in the metal fabrication and manufacturing process. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and executing repairs to maintain production efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of metalworking machinery, including lathes, mills, drills, and welding equipment.
· Install and set up production equipment according to specifications
· Adjust and repair machinery as needed to ensure efficient and safe operation
· Perform routine maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
· Diagnose mechanical failures, electrical issues, and hydraulic problems in equipment, while being able to make any necessary repairs.
· Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed.
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of parts.
· Adhere to safety regulations and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
· Work closely with production staff to identify issues and optimize equipment performance.

Successful candidates must display a willingness to work overtime hours as needed and possess the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an industrial maintenance mechanic role , particularly in metal fabrication or manufacturing environments.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
· Experience with hand and power tools
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
