Description


Allstate Can, a division of The Ohio Art Company, is in need of a full-time, Machine Operator Supervisor for the 2nd shift. This position will require work on-site 5 nights a week with overtime potential on weekends. (Mon-Fri 4:30pm-1am). The Machine Operator Supervisor will be responsible for the efficient operation of machinery used in the metal fabrication and manufacturing process as well as possess mechanical skills.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direction, guidance and support to machine operators on the second shift.  

• Coordinate and oversee all activities, including production schedules, machine set ups and workflow management. 

• Ensure products are made to quality standards.

• Install, configure, and operate production equipment to exact specifications and safety guidelines.

• Collaborate closely with production teams to tailor equipment settings for optimal production output.

• Execute routine maintenance procedures on equipment to prevent breakdowns and uphold peak performance standards.

• Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions through systematic troubleshooting and timely repairs.

• Maintain meticulous records documenting equipment maintenance and repair activities.

• Enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a safe work environment.

Requirements


• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Proven experience as  a machine operator, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues effectively.

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

• Experience with hand and power tools.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to motivate and mentor others.

• Ability to work independently and as well as part of a team.

• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
